The country of Haiti has a largely tumultuous history, filled with foreign occupation, civil unrest, and more recently, large-scale natural disaster. At the same time, the island has a beautiful landscape, rich culture, and a resilient spirit uniquely its own—the home of the only successful slave revolt and political overturn known to modern history against French occupation in 1804. The objective of this tourism branding project was to research Haitian culture to propose an informed and inviting visual brand identity to help increase the country’s tourism market. A logo, promotional items, a brand book, and a web presence were designed to reflect the lifestyle and natural beauty of Haiti’s beaches.
